NCAA's: Creighton a 7, WSU a 9

Congrats to both. Creighton plays Cincinnati in Philadelphia. Wichita State plays Pittsburgh in Salt Lake City.

Wichita got a great draw. Getting a 9 seed was a pretty high seed for their profile IMO, and as far as being in the 8-9 game, you'd probably want to be in Gonzaga's region.

Creighton's is much worse IMO. Cincy is a tough defensive team, a style that CU' sometimes struggles with. And then a potential Duke match up in Rd 2, ouch.

Darn, was really hoping for WSU to be paired in a group with Kansas. That could have been real fun. Anyways, best of luck to both schools. You two have been the banner carriers all year, keep it going well into March.

Pittsburgh is a favorable match up for WSU. They have played common opponents in Detroit and Depaul - both were similar results. It does seem that Pittsburgh suffers sometime from ability to score and has sometime shoot FT badly. Pittsburgh fans seem to think they have been disrespected by being a 8th seed.

During UNI's run from '04-06, I always felt like we were disrespected with our seed. After Kansas, I really feel like it doesn't matter. You just need to take advantage of the opportunity put in front of you.
