MVC Commish Doug Elgin press conference

They will probably add a 10th member for next fall. Elgin was simply making it clear that the conference isn't in a desperate situation.

so while other conferences add potential MVC schools to their leagues, the MVC will sit by and watch?

Precisely what I'am thinking, completely unacceptable. If I were the Valley presidents I'd be furious. This is too much of a passive reflex and we would look weak to the rest of the college world. Don't see any reason why we can't make a decision on who will be the next member of the Valley in time for fall. As you can see there are plenty of colleges willing to listen. Of course it is an important decision, but if we manage the time well, I don't see why we can't do it. If this is all we can do, maybe we need a new commish that can take the Valley to the next level.
