I want another Wichita State in the conference. You know, a team that can get to the Sweet Sixteen in a rebuilding year. The same year in which they were picked to finish 4th in conference.

your missing the point - some teams have no chance of playing in March, so when they get a chance to play a team that will they give them their best shot.

Most who have played competitive sports understand that there is emotion involved besides just pure skill. Teams can elevate their play for short periods (but are unable to sustain it). It also why when teams win game in emotional fight come out flat sometime the next game. Case in point Evansville after their two wins against WSU 1-3 in their next 4 games. Teams that beat CU were 6-9 after it.
