To answer the question about Marshall - pretty excited. We had one of the best AD's in MVC history and the phrase 'In Schaus We Trust' had been long established so we all knew it would work out great. Gotta love a guy who loves being the hunter, no matter how much he wins. I don't think he will ever tire of "getting another BCS scalp".

Man, I like being wrong!!!!!

Exactly...in defense of him not leaving Winthrop before he did, it's all about the opportunity. He was happy at Winthrop. It took an unbelievable opportunity for him to consider leaving the east. He is back in that same boat. It would take an unbelievable opportunity to leave WSU. Look at Shaka...I heard he just turned down UCLA. What...a team with the greatest history in college basketball history offers the job to the coach at VCU and he turns it down. It's a new day in the coaching carousel. Marshall doesn't need to go to a BCS school to be relevant. Go Marshall & go Shox!!!

Marshall, Shaka, Stevens, and Jacobson are all in the same boat on that one...
shocktheheart wrote:I disagree...Jacobson is making half what these other three are making. They may be all relevant as non BCS schools, but you have to pay to keep them as well. You may say he has turned down other jobs, but their are two jobs out there that could dwarf what he is making at UNI.
