WSU has 2 of 3 injured players back. The one still out (Evan Wessel) was a starter who was hitting 45.8% from 3 as the starting SF.

Most MVC fans have seen what Baker and VanVleet will contribute to the league over the next 3 years. Wessel should get a medical and join VanVleet and Baker in the So class next year.

WSU intends to continue repping the Valley at a high level over the forseeable future.

Wichita State ran past the La Salle Explorers, 72-58 to book an unlikely spot in the Elite Eight. "It's weird, but I'm a little disappointed," said Shockers senior Malcolm Armstead, "We keep wanting to say, 'We shocked the world,' but we keep drawing teams that aren't any better than us.

AWESOME!!. Believe it or not, most Jays are still rooting for WSU - even though most, like me, are envious of your run. Hope WSU takes down OSU. It is way past time, the MVC was represented in the final four. (still wish it could hav been the Jays, but life marches on)

CONGRATS to The WSU Shockers on a terrific game from opening tip to final buzzer over LaSalle! It'll take a similar (if not better) effort against OSU's Buckeyes, but the path is there for The Shockers to earn a Final 4...COOL

I was thinking the same for Creighton. If Wichita can make the Final Four, that will be twice Creighton beat a Final Four Team in the same year in recent times. The last team was George Mason. I'm really wondering what would have happened this year if Baker didn't get injured. I guess no use worrying about it from WSU's perspective. They are right where they want to be.
