How many high rpi teams can you get to play against? If you pick too many lower conference games, your SOS and RPI tanks also. The conference already has to find 2 extra games this year without having the MWC challenge and the bracketbuster .

I would really like to find a quality team that are fed up with their league. Is UALR or Milwaukee big enough markets that builds the MVC TV exposure? Looking at the OVC teams aren't exactly MVC resume buildernor is the Dakotas or UMKC.

i dont think staying put is the right answer at the current moment. We need 18 conference games.

There are two independents Universities. New Orleans and Chicago State. I think I read that New Orleans is joining a conference but Chicago State opens up the Chicago market for MVC ball. May not be the most followed team at this time but If the MVC gets in the TV in Chicago it could open up. Geographically you have to think we poach the Horizon League. That conference is the closes to the MVC RPI and it is physically the closest to the MVC teams. They lost Butler...Who else wants to jump ?

Chicago State has a dangerous campus location that no one wants to visit at night. They are terrible in basketball and all around.

If UMKC or Chicago State are options for the MVC, I hope SIU's AD is making calls about leaving. MAC, CAA, Horizon, I don't care if these are the best the MVC can do, the conference is doomed.

We'd take Loyola or UIC over Chicago State, never Chicago State they are complete garbage and have around a 3000 seat venue.
