I thought the same thing. Not sure how someone could argue that they should have been #3. 4th seems plenty generous if you asked me.[/quote]

Generous? It almost sounds as if you are implying that the Shox didn't earn that #4 spot. I can assure you they did and probably should have been ranked a #3. The Shox had the eventual national champion preparing to raise the flag of surrender in the second half before they let off the gas and allowed Louisville to gain some confidence.

I think some are suggesting that since we finished 3rd (lost in semis to winner) that we should be ranked accordingly. I don't necessarily agree, but the top 2 got that respect and Syracuse beat us out for third, so there is some merit to the argument.

Yeah. Final Four teams being ranked in the final four? Craziness.

Teams should be ranked on arbitrary measures of opinion rather than achievement in games.

Anybody here remember the last time a Valley team was ranked in the top 5 in a final poll?

None of teams above the Shox are named Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, or Kansas. I don't think Marshall is done. #NotSatisfied #PlayAngry
