I like when people try to get the last word by saying the other person can have the last word. As if the last three times you posted wasn't about trying to get the last word.

Look, I get what you guys are saying, but if you can't handle taunting from fans of other sports teams, you should probably reevaluate your decision to participate in a sports-themed internet forum. I will taunt MVC fans about WSU, I will taunt anyone about Florida State, I'll taunt baseball fans about the Braves start to this season ... when I move to Seattle next year, I'm sure I'll find a way to taunt people about the Mariners. I don't know how I'm going to do it yet, but I'll find a way. Hell, maybe I'll start watching Seattle U and try to find a way to taunt people about them. Bragging when your team is doing well is pretty much a foundation of what being a sports fan is about.

I mean, I know that being from Chicago you wouldn't know anything about that, but maybe you'll get a chance to learn one day

Seriously, get some thicker skin. The wonderful thing about sports is that you can literally make the stats say anything you want. Anyone can argue about sports. And it's a hell of a lot less serious than arguing about politics, so just find the stats that let you fight back and don't degenerate into this "you're just a meanie" stance.
Your idea of a message board appears to be different than ours. Say some of these things on ours and expect a ban or something or at the very least chastized, so I wouldn't recommend it.

What things? Like implying that a coach has trained players to prepare for kicks to the chests in basketball games?

What the hell was banworthy about my original post? I said my program owns your program in basketball and maybe Loyola could do something your heaping pile of crap can't do. And then an ISU fan cried. And then you brought something completely irrelevant to the conversation by saying Chicago is bigger than Wichita.

You need to slow your role. You're embarrassing yourself greatly.

DoubleJayAlum wrote:I don't care what the numbers you cite say, I am questioning their veracity on the whole.

For example, there is no way on God's green earth that Creighton LOST money on basketball in 2009. Basketball revenues fund the entire athletic department. If basketball really lost money, the entire department would have been ridiculously under water, which it obviously was not.

Your problem is that you see numbers printed somewhere and automatically accept them as gospel. When evaluating athletic numbers, you have to understand there is a lot of grey. Creighton's AD even stated such on the record a few weeks ago in the OWH when a comparison of BE budgets was published.

So Creighton is lying to the Department of Education.

Got it.

Marshall has been training for years and years with his players to prepare for kicks to the chest at Winthrop and Wichita State for that One Shining Moment that he had on that Sunday in mid-February at Redbird Arena in Normal, Illinois. I thought you guys didn't like Loyola being in the conference, so why would you acknowledge that they are capable of doing anything? So thank you for bringing up that Loyola is capable and that they are indeed the best choice for an addition to the Missouri Valley Conference. Valpo and UIC should have been added to make it 12 to show where the truth is in Indiana and Illinois. The MVC strutted its stuff by not picking Oral Roberts or Denver just to appease Wichita State and its fans and instead do what is best for the conference and where it is really at in Indiana and Illinois. They just didn't want to add Valpo and UIC to go to 12 because they had to at least compromise with the Final Four Shockers not to cause complete outrage.

Also I don't know if you guys can do math, but Wichita had an 18 year NCAA-less streak. Right now doesn't mean everything. Did WSU own ISU when the Shockers had an 18 year NCAA-less streak? ISU's only at 15, so come calling if your streak will be broken. Which will be never. I don't know if you know the recruits ISU has coming in, but Zach Lofton picked ISU over a host of BCS programs such as Baylor and Kansas State. MiKyle McIntosh is about to pick ISU over BCS schools like Miami and UCLA. And don't forget about Bobby Hunter and his 26 PPG in juco, Michael Middlebrooks and of course Deontae Hawkins. WSU's trash is ISU's treasure; WSU's loss is ISU's gain. Chicago being bigger than Wichita is very pertinent to this conversation due to the fact that Shocker fans were bewildered by the fact that ISU fans' lives don't revolve around basketball like theirs do. This would be due to the majority of ISU students and alums hailing from the big city of Chicago where there is much to do and be preoccupied with, not to mention in the fall months they are able to follow their ISU football team which WSU does not have the luxury to do.

I would have thought when you got your last screename banned, you would have gotten the hint, and at least tried to be a little more civil when you snuck back in.

Trash talking is fun, being a overbearing d-bag isn't. Your team just went to the final four, why don't you relax and relish in it, instead of having a pi*)ing match with every other fanbase in the conference?

You know, you're right! Why would I go to the United States of America's Department of Education website which publishes the athletic revenue and expense reports for every major program in this country when I could have just read the random claims by Creighton's AD? God, there I go again, just blindly accepting the numbers I want, rather than getting to the truth through unbiased reports like THAT one.

Do you understand how difficult it is to treat anything you say with respect? It's difficult to pretend like anything you say is anything other than trolling, but I keep doing it.

Not for sure what this topic has covered in the last 23 pages but it looks like it's been all over. As a Shocker fan i'd like to welcome Loyola, i knew from the beginning i wasn't going to be happy with anyone the Valley was going to add but i think Loyola has a chance to be a valuable member in the Valley, will they ever be a Creighton? No don't think they'll ever get to that level but i didn't think we would find anyone of that caliber. What's done is done, all we can do now is get behind our new member and hope they start to produce and not end up with numbers that will bring down the Valley.

It's cute how you're not even trying to actually say anything to get the last word in. You're not doing this troll thing very well.
