Guess the first one of these descended quickly.

It's an allegation. If it's true, it's disgusting. But we don't know it's true. Unless someone is at least arrested, and more importantly convicted, it shouldn't be taken as fact. Apparently it's been four days now and no arrest has been made, or charges filed.

I don't see much point in discussing it or speculating on it unless it escalates past allegation status. Until that point, I'm hoping it's not true.

Hope it's not true, it's an all around bad situation especially for the victim. I'll be sickened if it does come out as true.

I hope we all hope it's not true, but the first concern should be for the victim. I hope she is getting the care and support she needs. UNI went through something like this with one of our other sports teams a while back and it wasn't handled very well (at least from her perspective).

first thing that comes to mind is I hope the victim is ok. That is absolutely terrible. Also just shows the character of the alleged attacker. One bad apple spoils the bunch. This is a huge black eye for the WSU athletics and university as a whole.

The same kind of black eye Duke has from its lacrosse team. Just remember a whole team had their character dragged through the mud, lives were ruined....all because of an overzealous media, out of control DA and a public that lives for scandal. I have no idea who this unnamed player is, nor do I care to know right now. In my opinion, it's best to let the authorities complete their investigation and learn as many facts as possible before we jump to conclusions. "IF" these allegations are true, it should only reflect poorly on Wichita if they are somehow found to be covering this up or not cooperating. All of the reports I've read state that the university and players are cooperating with authorities. In the end, my only hope is that justice is served.

football team 04.

2 players raped her.charges pressed, kicked off team, they served jail time.

lawsuit against university that lasted about 8 years was just settled for a very very very small amount for the suit carrying on for 8 years (50ki think). alleged the university didn't offer property support, told her tutu suck it up,etc...

caused a massive rewrite of almost every public safety protocol at UNI.

Right...

Over the top much? This has to do with an individual not an athletics program or university as they had nothing to do with it. Or are you suggesting otherwise? It takes a certain level of stupidity to make a statement like the one quoted. My guess is it might be "huge" among a few clown Creighton fans in Omaha. For the rest of society I'm sure they can separate a disgusting act of an individual and the school he was attending and once played for.

The alleged victim in this case isn't a WSU student and it wasn't on campus. WSU has absolutely nothing to do with this.
