Right...
Over the top much? This has to do with an individual not an athletics program or university as they had nothing to do with it. Or are you suggesting otherwise? It takes a certain level of stupidity to make a statement like the one quoted. My guess is it might be "huge" among a few clown Creighton fans in Omaha. For the rest of society I'm sure they can separate a disgusting act of an individual and the school he was attending and once played for.

No, clearly the first thing that comes to mind is "how can I use this to insult WSU?"
Well done in being the first to go there. Congrats. I hope your mom is proud that you're more concerned with making your rival look bad than the well-being of this woman.

UNI went through something like this with one of our other sports teams a while back and it wasn't handled very well (at least from her perspective).

We always spend too much time in cases like this glorifying the accused party with attention instead of people that really deserve it. That goes for both counts of rape and giant news stories like school shootings and bombings.
And lets be clear: No one has been arrested. No charges have been filed. The WPD made a mistake by even letting this get out to the public; 5 people have had their reputations ruined by this: the four players (all of whom will be blamed), and the woman will to deal with whistleblower hate even if the player is eventually found guilty.
So lets avoid throwing around rumors or blame. This should be handled civilly and with a focus on protecting the victim instead of on attacking the university or the player. The way the police and media have handled it is shameful.

Not surprised in the least that the first fan to jump to that angle and assume an accusation is guilt was a Creighton fan.
They just can't help themselves, even when they're gone.
