I am not familiar with this kid but the write up makes him seem like a great addition. Fred Hoiberg has a great eye for talent so if Iowa State was looking at him then I trust that he has talent.
It does concern me that he is an MICDS kid. They don't play the toughest of competition in St. Louis and their student body is kind of stuffy. Joe Buck is a shining example of this principle. Probably not the case with Mr. Thompson but who knows?
