3rd commitment in 48 hours for DU

Carleton "CJ" Rivers, a 6'3" combo guard from Cahokia, Illinois. Very quick and athletic. Plays point guard for one of the best teams in Illinois, but will probably be a wing at Drake.

I think Arogundade has been a '2', but probably still does a lot of the ball handling for St. Viator.

How many scholarship players will Drake have this season? How many seniors?

When will Drake sign a forward?

Unless there's a surprise late commitment, Drake will have one open scholarship this season. Drake will have four seniors this year (Carter, Hawley, Ricks, and Van Deest). Karl Madison will also be an academic senior, but he's missed two full seasons due to injury so he'll have at least one more year of eligibility left after this season.

Drake has 5 commitments for 2014, and they could be a lineup someday. In addition to the 3 guards who verballed this week, Drake has commitments from 6-9 Casey Schlatter and 6-11 Kory Kuenstling.

Thanks! Good to hear. Sounds like the new regime is putting together a class to build around one the next four years!

Not sure I would categorize Cahokia as one of the best teams in Illinois (they had a good year last year, but outside of that, they've been pedestrian).

Still, good signing for Drake.

Schlatter will be able to play right away. Kuentsling will need a year, if not two, to be able to be a contributor...
