So, does Muller get fired after year 3 or do they let him drive in the final stake in year 4??

There had to be better, more experienced candidates.

Shocked.... So will the redbirds have enough players to field a team? I mean between in eligible players and ones committing felonies they may play all walkons.

Most ISU fans knew this was a possibility. I have no problem with DM taking risks on these high risk/high reward type guys... Sure I'd love him to play this year but we will still have him for 4 years... Schools like UCLA, Miami, and (reportedly) Kentucky were interested in him but can get players of his caliber a lot easier so they aren't willing to take the risk... we are willing to and have to be willing to continue to do this IMO. Sucks for MM because it seems this falls all on the "Academy" he was playing at...

Taking a risk on MiKyle and Hawkins, while having to sit out for a year and still have 4 years to play >>>>> not having them at all IMO

RFan21...as I said on the PJStar board.

No chance either of Hawkins or McIntosh stay and play four years at ISU. How many of these type of risks end up working out at the MVC level?

If these guys can't get eligible while being on a basketball team, how are they going to become eligible when they aren't practicing or playing? You would think the pressure or motivation to become eligible in the first place would push these guys in the classroom and not having basketball for a year may turn them the other way. I would be surprised if both ever play at Illinois St. One might make it, but I doubt both do.

This is dead on.

Neither one of them ever end up playing at ISU, or anywhere for that matter.

How does ISU not finish last at this point? SIU is bad, but at least they've got bodies...

Care to place a friendly wager that they will not play at ISU, ever?
