If these guys can't get eligible while being on a basketball team, how are they going to become eligible when they aren't practicing or playing? You would think the pressure or motivation to become eligible in the first place would push these guys in the classroom and not having basketball for a year may turn them the other way. I would be surprised if both ever play at Illinois St. One might make it, but I doubt both do.

This statement may work for Hawkins, but the McIntosh situation was not grades... it was "core classes" that the NCAA requires that his crap "academy" offered... Not saying there isn't fault to go around, but the two situations are different.
