I don't think this will be the main line-up as Cle at the three really thins us out in the post, but if the above is a featured line-up the next line would be:

Baker, Wiggins, and Wessel at the 1, 2, 3 and Morris and Lufile at the 4/5. Another big and athletic line-up, but would rely on a lot of guard scoring and might be weak defensively in the front court.

Of course that won't be the primary lineup but it will be used at times. And I've never understood the "logic" of that would leave the next line weak. This isn't f****** hockey and we don't play lines. We could use that group on the court and still only go 8 deep and be fine. By your logic Baker and VanVleet will never play together because that would leave us without a PG on the next "line".

My post must not have been clear, because you just jumped off the deep end without warning.

Newcomer of the Year-either of the freshman (Morgan will be more of a scorer) or Washpun, who will likely start at guard opposite Mitchell-both are point guards, but Jake likes having multiple ball-handlers

Player of the Year: Tuttle

what about Defensive players and most-improved

It sounds as though Friedman has looked REALLY good so far. The beat writer for UNI has mentioned a couple times he has looked like the most dominate player on the court frequently.

It sounds like the starters will be

PG Mitchell
SG Bohannon
WG Washpun
PF Tuttle
C Friedman

Morgan will make for a nice 6th man. Any back-up bigs?

Not really. Tuttle is obviously a stud in this league, and I believe Friedman will be a very good post in this league too, but after that there's not a ton of quality post depth at UNI. For better or worse, at least defensively, it will probably be up to guys like Chip Rank and Nate Buss to fill in for those guys when they are not on the floor.

The flip side of that is that UNI has really upgraded its size and athleticism at the guard and wing positions for these next few seasons.

From what I've read, Darius Clark will be newcomer of the year. Going into the season I think Early is the best player in the league though I do like Suttle's game but I will still give the nod to Early. I haven't followed recruiting enough to make a guess on FOY.

From the Birds...

FOY nominee: Reggie Lynch, Paris Lee
NOY nominees: Zach Lofton, Daishon Knight, Bobby Hunter. (Could really list 75% of the roster here :-P )
