Who will be named the 2013-14 MVC Freshman of the Year?

Select the player that you believe will be named the 2013-14 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year for men's basketball. I posted 9 choices as well as "other" where you can write in a name.

Last year, our users predicted Kaza Keane of Illinois State would win the award. It was Marcus Marshall of Missouri State, however, who was named FOY and Keane was not on the All-freshman team at the end of the season.

You should probably substitute Devon Thomas for Austin Ruder in terms of who is most likely to play; there is more a log jam at the 2/3 for MSU than at the pg, although nothing is really clear at either position behind Marcus Marshall and Gulley.

Blake Simmons, Marty's son, lit up the Ford Center tonight in the Aces Hoopfest. Bombed in 3-pointers from all over the floor. He has something to prove, and will be in the running for freshman of the year.

Just post the name of your prediction if he's not listed here and I will update the vote with those added in. I asked for names of nominees and no one mentioned Thomas or Simmons earlier unfortunately.

I vote for Friedman for UNI, although Doyle is probably more likely, he'd be my #2.

From everything I've heard, Milton Doyle is absolutely killing it. He looks like the real deal.

If he keeps this up, he should win the Freshman of the Year award going away.
