Why does the preseason player of the year take so many three's? Did Greg Mac really draw up the last play for him to take the tying 3 point shot?

I don't get it. Seems like bad coaching there. It just seems like Lawson is given the green light way too often from 3. If I remember correctly, I never recall him being a major outside threat and certainly never seen him attempt so many 3's thus far early in the season.
