What classes did Teddy take at WSU?

That's the question I have at this point. I thought he never was able to take classes because of his non-qualifier status. If that is the case, then how does the rule apply? Again, the part that irks me in particular as a UNI fan is that we were told by the conference that they would not enforce the rule on Doug before we released him. He had not taken any classes but had enrolled for summer school already at the time everything happened.

He signed...taking classes doesn't matter.

Looks like the taking classes part was key.

They started that a few years ago with Dougie but if you look at what I quoted from the article way back when, it did specifically mention 'starting classes' which is why I asked whether he had actually taken any classes?

My issue with all of this is the league is effectively issuing no punishment. By allowing him to serve the NCAA and the MVC punishments concurrently rather than forcing him to serve them separately. Also, he signed a financial aid agreement at WSU Doug had never done that which is why I never cared that he was released and switched schools. This is laughable but what can you do, Elgin runs the show like a circus.

What do you mean Doug never signed. He absolutely signed with UNI in the fall. We were told by the league that they would not enforce the rule.

What we learned from this whole incident: whine enough and you will eventually get your way. Unless you're Wichita State.

Who cares...WSU just needs to beat the Redbirds everytime he is actually eligible to play.

Doug never signed a financial aid agreement. He signed a NLOI much different. Teddy signed both at WSU.

I actually agree with the "whining" of other teams in the Valley on this one.

The problem is that the league went the wrong way in changing the ruling. They initially made a "compromise" that they thought would keep the intent of the rule while helping a """"student"""" athlete. Then they changed their mind and the only thing compromised is their credibility.

They didn't compromise their credibility with me - they never had any.

BTW - I'm good with this. The original ruling wasn't fair to the other Valley teams
