If it's RPI you want it's RPI you get. Alabama 101, Tennessee 151, Davidson 102. So are you saying that wins over those "powerhouses" will get you that at-large bid? Those are MVC "cupcake" numbers. Unless things improve, they won't be dancing. And BTW, if you really are worshipping at the altar of the RPI, UK won't be dancing either with their RPI of 79. Wanna bet? So it looks like a win over North Carolina Central is your best hope. Good luck.

Once again, cherry-picking. I'm really not even sure anyone (including yourself) knows what your point is at this time, other than you really hate WSU and don't want them to make the NCAA tournament no matter what else.

I'm also not sure where you're finding these numbers. Linky please? I can't find numbers that match yours, both better and worse. I'm also pretty sure RPIs of ~100 (no matter what source you're using) will be higher than the majority of Valley teams this year....teams that have to be played at least twice.

You're a really weak troll. But I guess you are getting some people to respond to you, so ... congrats?

Awesome! Keep cupcaking down your RPI against Valley teams. That'll help your chances on Selection Sunday. Remember, your best chance to be seeded high after winning Arch Cupcake is to talk down your league.

That's odd. I would think a troll would be someone who was trashing the Valley while pretending to care about the Valley. That wouldn't be me. I'm not the one barking that only one team can possible get an at-large bid. I'm just playing along so shocker fans can continue cupcaking themselves. I'd love to see 4 bids, they will only be happy with one just to show they were right. Big difference.

I was one. I was even a Shocker fan in the Dance. I'm a Valley fan. I don't cupcake the league down in the first week of December. That's a shocker job. I'll have no part of it.

Being realistic and "cupcaking" down the league are not the same thing. Again I ask, who has a realistic shot of getting an at large bid other than WSU. Key word is realistic.

I think this AnswerMan needs to do a little wager with a Shocker fan. I'll give you 10:1 odds. Wichita State gets an at-large bid, SIU, Bradley, Loyola, UE, UNI, ISUr don't. Name your price.

Put your money where your mouth is.

Can you provide the link I asked for so we can at least compare the same numbers? Or did you just make them up? The best chance of a high seed is to win a crapload of games, regardless of who you are or what league you're in. But then you changed your argument again from "at-large" potential to "getting a high seed".

A key point: The amount of "cupcaking down" (WTF does that even mean, btw?) fans do has no bearing on selection Sunday. The win/loss record and RPI does. Talking about how great a team is doesn't make their RPI go up.

The league is down this year. That is a fact. It might even completely suck. It will take another couple of weeks to find that out.
