Lusk is really becoming a good coach now. He finally seems to have his players and system in place and it really shows. Feels great to be 8-1.

It's amazing how much winning can change the perception of a coach from bad to good.

You are right but I think he was alluding to a fairly significant # of Bears fans that were calling for Lusk's head last year. I think this just shows that it's really true in most cases that it takes a new head coach about 3 years.

If ORU rolls through their conference, RPIForecast has them as a top 100 win. Crazier things have happened but a win Tuesday night would give the Bears the ammo for an at-large provided they take care of business in the Valley (13-5) headed into STL. "

Unfortunately, that Louisville game is probably the only real shot at an at-large bid. ORU is a good win, but MoSt's probably going to need more than one (borderline) top-100 win to get an at-large bid. With a 200+ SOS, one good win, 78 RPI (forecasted), etc., I don't think Missouri State is in very good shape for an at-large spot.

If MoSt had a better noncon schedule this year, they could have had a real shot.

I think MoState will eventually need to go 1-2 in their three signature win chances. If they don't get one, they need to be compilers, and I think they'll have a fighting chance (especially with a well above average record against the rest of the top half of the MVC).
