Tuttle is 5-7 for 15 pts and 9 rebounds. Washpun has a couple 3's and breakaway dunks for 12 pts and 4 assists.
Lemon. Jr. Is 4-8 for 9 pts (a lot of long range 2's with his foot just over the 3 point line) and Grier has 8 pts for the Braves.
UNI shooting 48% from the field (38% from 3). Bradley shooting 34% from the field and 30% from 3. The most notable stat may be that UNI has 5 steals and has turned the ball over just once on a poor half-court pass from Tuttle.
Hopefully the Panthers don't get lax at half and finish the job. We've certainly seen UNI struggle with some teams coming out of the break after dominating in the first half of play and they nearly blew a sizable lead last season in Peoria after Lemon Jr. put on a spectacular 2nd half shooting display.
Matt Bohannon has decided to end his winter vacation early and now has a couple 3's in 2nd. He is 4 for 5 for 13 pts after shooting only 12% in the past 12 games. If he can get things going for MVC play (especially on the road) this could be a dangerous UNI team.
52-28 with Lemon going to the line. Misses the first shot
UNI is very impressive. They will sit in first place after tonight. Can they go undefeated through the regular season? Who can stop, or slow down, Tuttle?
Random MVCFans.com member, circa 2007: "Gregg Marshall is in over his head in this conference."
Panthers in cruise control at this point. Bradley never checked back in after the break. 80-45 UNI with a minute left to play.
Panthers will finish with 17 assists, 4 turnovers; Braves with 5 assists, 13 turnovers. Braves only beat the Panthers in 1 category with 2 blocks to UNI's 0. We can only hope this is more a sign of how good UNI will be and not how bad Bradley is. The reality is more likely a bit both.
