I think it was more fatigue that the law of averages. When a player plays 15 minutes in the first half of an uptempo game, then only plays 2 minutes in the second half because he takes himself out of the game with a technical, everyone else has to pick up those minutes. For instance, Daishon played 10 more minutes that his season average.

Does that average account for the games he was suspended for? I'm not being cheeky but I know some sites like ESPN (or at least they used to) simply discriminate based on the number of games played by a team, not necessarily by a player.

If it does then it doesn't seem that out of place that he would be playing more than that "average" since he would've technically played for 0 mins in about 2 or 3 of them.
[Insert snappy comeback]

I don't believe he missed anytime, the game was an additional 5 minutes as well so that plays into that. Lofton deciding to F-bomb the stripes had a huge effect on the depth of ISUr. I know this is beating on the same point but the redbirds had to cool off, just had to happen.

Off topic but pertaining to Missouri State. I read another forum from time to time and there are some fans of certain schools that have a crush on you. Is MSU interested at all in the Sunbelt?

I have it on very good authority that there is a sealed envelope waiting in the hands of the MSU president!

You are probably right. I heard it also came with a years supply of Popeyes chicken vouchers. In all seriousness MSU keeps getting tied to the sunbelt expansion. It has been said many times that MSU has a standing offer from the sunbelt for all sports, my guess is we would be interested in football only. Not sure what the likely hood is of MSU leaving the valley but a 20million dollar renovation/expansion to plaster coupled with the addition women's sports makes it looks if they are considering making the jump.
