KC MVC FAN replied: It would not be the MVC. That's like MO, KU, OK, OSU, ISU, KSU, NEB, and COL still being the Big 8. Wish it were so but not going to happen
uniftw asked" How would it not be the MVC?
The conference was called the MVC when they were in it....I see no reason that would change.

KC MVC FAN: SHAT! SHAT? SHAT? I am going to tell your mother you were saying bad words. She will wash out your mouth with soap---hopefully with LUX--it is very foamy and tastes awfull!!
And I know some history of the MVC. Could not live in Kansas and Mizzery for 65 plus years and not know a little about the MVC (plus the BIG 6, BIG 8, BIG 12, BIG 10, PAC??, NCAA, NAIB and NAIA). Quit trying to live in the past. Those teams are long gone from the conference and the MVC is not the conference it was 35, 40, 50, 60 years ago. Struggling now to stay in the top third of DII conferences. Now, with CU gone it is a one school/one team conference, with everyone hanging on WSU's coat tails and praying they do not leave. If WSU does leave for greener pastures, the MVC will be lucky to retain a conference CHAMP invite to the NCAA. About half the current conference teams need to go back to DII (and I am not excluding my BEARS). Some may even need to go back to the NAIA. Now there is a good tournament, the NAIA Championship, in KC. 32 teams that would give many/most of the MVC teams a good battle!!!![/quote]
How would they lose the automatic bid if WSU lost?
