You can notice the yellow shirts around the arena to get a good idea of the shocks fans that made the trip. They were well represented, but I think some comments I've seen are inflating their numbers. Students were awesome last night! Great atmosphere.

I have no idea how many Shocker fans were there but you can't really just count the yellow shirts. I was with a party of 8 - all with black Shocker gear. I also saw quite a few other Shocker fans with black on.

It was a great game. Hopefully the Bears can build from that. They were feeding from the energy of the crowd and played their tails off.

Is there a reason that Gavin didn't play much in the second half? He was huge in the first.

I can't believe that Chuck Booms is allowed on the Bears Extra radio in SGF. He was obviously very drunk and obnoxious. Like one of the previous posters - my wife and I would turn it off and then turn it back on to see if someone pulled the plug on him.

Anyway - great game Bears.

HAHA!! Calm down, ladies. Youre all like a bunch of 3rd graders. Jesus Christ, I still said they were the best team in the Valley and you get your panties in a bunch. Indiana St wasn't mentioned in my post, yet thats the first thing half of you went to. "Nuh uh, we're better than you guys. You guys stink." Wichita St is not a top 10 team, and I hope their fan base isn't like most of you guys on here. Try to give an opinion and you guys instantly go into defense mode. BTW, Loyola destroyed that team you almost lost to last night.

You made an ignorant and uninformed post, and you were challenged because of it. Perhaps instead of firing back you should try and learn something.

:+1:

He resorts to name-calling and doesn't even bother to try and defend his position (he can't.) FearDaTrees, would you please present us with your list of Top 10 teams.

Ignorant and unimformed? Wichita St was down 18 pts at halftime to a team that got destroyed by Loyola. If crowd noise was really that big of an issue, they may not be a top 20 team. If 10,000 people in Springfield gets them shook, what's gonna happen when 75% of a crowd of 20,000 is rooting against them in the first round? Shox lose 4 games before the big dance, book it.

You need to watch some basketball. We didn't look like a top 10 team for about 25 mintes, but we've played nearly 700 mintes. Drawing a conclusion based on this game (where we won against a good opponent) is ignorant. I don't have discussions with people that are ignorant about basketball. Hope you figure some stuff out!

And Indiana State just squeaked out a 3 point win at home over Bradley. If we lose four games before the big dance, Indiana State loses nine more before the CIT. "Book it."

You do realize that 90% of this team played in a fairly large venue last year called the Georgia Dome with 70,000 plus people in the stands and millions watching around the world. You think they were rattled by the 10,000 at JQH? If a team shoots like MSN did in the first half they win 99% of the time. You are a bafoon!
