I like the possibility of a ranked MVC game Feb. 5th. If ISU only loses at WSU, that would put them at 18-4 with an RPI around 40-50. I don't think ISU has been ranked since 1979 but I really think this is the best team we have had since then. Ranked or not, I think it's the only game that WSU may lose.

This will certainly be WSUs most difficult remaining game on paper. Right now I'm looking forward to the @MSU game.

Shocker fans can be proud making it to number 5.

The fan base plays a major role no doubt...and it's not luck winning that many games in a row.

maybe, except for the Mo st game. To battle the bears, refs, and to get shots to fall...that takes some luck bc any call that went the shockers way could of prevented that comeback. Especially the key plays that led up to the come back and changed the momentum in favor of the shockers.

I agree with the basic premise of this statement. We were fortunate to win against MSU, but being in position to be 17-0 after that game was not so much luck, but hard work and skill.

Also, thanks for the kind comments from music city! Whether or not we are actually the 5th best team is certainly debatable, but I believe we have put together a resume that makes it difficult to argue otherwise. Regardless, it is certainly an enjoyable position to be in.

From the angle I was sitting in, I was 90% sure that SWOMO's last shot was going in, it felt like slow motion. We were that close to being 16-1 and outside the Top 10 in polls. Hard work, skill, and fighting adversity put us in the position to be lucky.
