Y'all are writing off Blue way too early.

If the season ended today, Blue would probably have an NIT bid, and MIGHT be on the NCAA bubble watch, based mostly on their RPI of 48. But, no top 50 wins.

Seems like the only way their RPI can climb further is by getting a top 50 win in The Haute on February 5.

I still think a 15-3 conference record to go with an 9-3 non-con and 2-1 finish in St. Louis would be too good to leave out of the dance. Also, I think there is a reasonable chance that the Sycamore's can accomplish such a record.

It would be tough for them- I don't know how many teams have received at-large bids without a single Top 50 win. If there have been any, they are few and far between....especially with RPIs in the 40s.

ISUb has a lot riding on that matchup with WSU in Terre Haute.

Wichita St is the magic bullet. Split with WSU in conference play and you get a very key part of your profile. It's almost worth laying out two scenarios for each team - one in which they whiff against Wichita, and one in which they split with them.

I'd rather be 13-5 with a split of WSU rather that 14-4 with 2 of the losses to Wichita. In terms of resume.

I always enjoy, what you have to say.

TURD. TURD???? Whow! Isn't that a cool word. Isn't Snaggle a cool dude, and so literate. But begs a question--who is Snaggle calling a TURD? UNI or LUC. No matter, either school, its taunting and clearly "antagonistic and adversarial", a trolling violation. RED CARD! RED CARD!

Told you that you shoulda recruited UMKC---they have 204 RPI on TEAM RANKINGS. Or how about NDSU (65 RPI), NMSU (76 RPI), SDSU has 182 RPI... How does LUC up their RP! by just playing MVC teams? And YES, they could win a couple more!

Maybe MVC needs to go to a 12 team conference and recruit a couple of good RPI schools (west of the Missississip).

Question? Why the numerical diference between NCAA, CBS Sports and Team Rankings RPI numbers? What I understand is that they are all computed the same way from the same data. Classic case of liars figure and figures lie.

I didn't know this message board had a vote on who the MVC is going to offer invites to.

Added late: TEAM Rankings.com has LUC with a 236 RPI. Not much but better than 301---and not that far off of the RPIs of several MVC teams.

Didn't mean you personally recruit UMKC, MVC coulda recruited UMKC. Added, think UMKC has a win against NMSU (RPI 75 ). That probably is a better win than by any MVC school other than WSU.

No, the message board did not have a vote. But sure was a lot of extreme and negative comments about UMKC---which I think MVC office was probably reading. And I am not pushing UMKC for membership now--they are winning some games and hopefully building their resume with a new coach.
