Wrong.

Yes, I'm a little surprised.

Also: 43 for Balentine.

It takes more than one player to make a basketball team. UNI could have easily scored more than 100 had they wanted to.

I don't mean to be real cheeky but where's the fella' always talking about season sweeps before the start of the season. UNI and WSU have something to tell you.

D.J. Balentine is a player any coach would love to have on his team...too bad Marty will NOT guard the three-point shooters, always doubling down on the post and causing defenders to have to run out to try to stop the perimeter shot. It has killed us all year...in fact, killed us for several years! Mock getting those two early, and in my opinion, questionable fouls, that took him out of the game less than 4 minutes in, hurt us with post play, but still we give away too many games by watching our opponents hit threes!

Proud of Balentine! Frustrated with our coach! We need to CHANGE our defensive tactics!!!

You want to talk about questionable fouls. Anytime anyone sneezed on Ballentine they called a foul. Mock moved every time he screened. He could have fouled out real early in this game.

Marty needs to learn one player will not win you a lot of games. For the last 5 years it has been the same thing. Run your best player of tons of screens to get him curl looks. This leads to a player scoring a ton of points, but does not lead to winning a lot of games. Ballentine is good, but he touches the ball more than any player I have seen. I do not think he came out of the game tonight once. He was already leading the league in minutes.

UNI played well. Hopefully Buss isn't hurt too bad because we will need him when Indiana State comes to town Saturday. 17 3s is a new school record. Would have liked to get 100, but obviously with being up by 20 Jake wasn't going to let that happen.

Go Panthers.

Fun fact: (Sorry to pile it on Ace fans) UNI has made 31 3's in it's 2 match-ups against the Aces this year. If you counted the 2 FT's on the made 3-pt fouls tonight that means the Panthers scored about 95 pts on the Aces this season as a result of shooting from behind the arc. I wonder what Marty's game plan should be if they were to meet in STL? Hmm...

Face it we are young and make a bunch of mistakes both Offensive and Defensive. We are mediore at best. But we will learn from all this during the year. It is frustrating to see us let 3 point shooters hit time after time with no boday on them. That needs to change. The ref's called the game on both sides to close. Wish they had let them play a litle more agressive before calling a foul. It was on both sides. Sweep anybody. Really doubt it this year.

Marty's still got the Aces playing the "Bob Knight IU Alford offense". First Colt Ryan & now Ballentine. Wouldn't you really like to be a teammate on these kind of teams and never get to shoot the ball?

What's the status of Nate Buss? I read that he got injured last night.

No news yet. Had an MRI this morning. Personally I don't think it's good. Wouldn't surprise me if he's done for the year. That said I don't think it'll be an ACL. Obviously would be a huge loss in our already thin front court.

Ice was on the inside of the knee. That's not ACL, if its anything it is an MCL.

He tried to run during a timeout and was in a lot of pain. Didn't look particularly promising. Its too bad, he already lost one full year to a freak broken arm while lifting weights...
