Maybe…Teams 3-10 would have to all go 8-10. WSU and Indiana State would have to combine to win a total of 26 games. Currently they have 18 wins and 16 games remaining. In order for your hypothetical to play out at this point in the season, WSU and Indiana State would have to combine to go 8-8 and every other team would have to get to 8-10. Also in this hypothetical, WSU could go 18-0 and every other team (including the Sycamores) could finish 8-10 and then everyone not named WSU finishes 2nd. As soon as one of the "3rd place" teams goes over 8 wins or 10 losses, the hypothetical is done.

Looking at the schedules it appears Loyola and Evansville are going to have a hard time avoiding the PiG, as is Southern Illinois...I think the 6 seed is going to come down to Drake/Bradley...Can anyone win a road game? I don't see UNI falling to the PiG, but they have a tough remaining schedule honestly, plus not sure on the status of Nate Buss?

SIU will go 2-6 the rest of the way. All games except for 1 will be close though. Lots of improvement in this young team.

Poor D+ thought they were going to end Drake Night in the Lou for once.

Eh, It's our first year under a new coach with hardly anyone coming back and a roster thrown together right before the year started. We were picked for last and still have a chance to finish out of the play in game.
I'll think we'll be out for sure next year and hopefully won't be back on Thursday night for a very long time after that.

Probably 6 other fan bases thinking the same thing.

Sorry, but don't understand! Contested for what? If you had 3, 4, or 5 teams competing for the top spot that would be hotly contested. To stay out of 9th or 10th place to avoid the pig tail/play-in ??????? Hope this not an indicator of the MVC future.
