I'm certain the players for WSU and CU have mutual respect. The fans - not so much. Coaching staffs? Unknown, but there is some evidence.

WSU offered CU a home-and-home. CU declined. CU fans are now claiming WSU is overrated because the Shox didn't play anybody.

WSU has offered a home-and-home again - starting next year. If anyone on this planet thinks McD, The Elder, is going to schedule the Shox after McD, The Younger, is gone when he won't play them with The Younger still on board...it ain't gonna happen.

There have been some posts on BlueJay Underground about CU possibly getting a 2 seed, and how much they wish they would get that seed in the same bracket with WSU, if WSU got a 1 seed.

I'm confident WSU fans share that sentiment with CU fans. Getting CU as a 2 seed in a bracket with WSU as a 1 seed would be a dream come true, with one big problem. CU would have to actually win a game in the NCAA's before that would matter to WSU, That hasn't been something CU has shown the ability to do.

Well, they'd probably win one >=)

I think WCC would be a good buy game. WCC come to Omaha and we will write you a check. WCC SOS doesnt make sense for a home and home.

You surprise me Aargh (Play Angry is just ignorant) Talk to Sully or Boatright. BE schedule didn't get finalized until THE FALL. It was a scramble to hold on to existing contracts by all teams. Nothing new was going to be added whether they wanted to or not.

Interesting comment... please explain; even Michigan is using this. Is it just because you don't like it? I'm sure CU fans don't like it; it seems to fit WSU well and 99% of the media keeps using it. He'll, ESPN had a 5 minute "Play Angry" infomercial yesterday and it ran multiple times on all their networks. Sounds like someone is butthurt to me. Oh, I have no problem with CU; however crap (comments) like this seem petty and childish.

HAHA that is hilarious! that one went WAY over your head....On a side note the Play Angry slogan is better than the #watchus. Clearly the majority of the country cannot watch anything WCC...Unless they want to stream internet.

Sigh....dentists who inherit daddy's practice...

Conference play in every league begins around Christmas. The lack of a finalized slate for BE play did nothing to keep anyone in that conference from finalizing OOC contracts for November and early December games. It is simply a lie to say that no contracts were signed by BE teams, including Creighton, for OOC games between last March and this fall. You are just parroting the excuses your coach has given on radio interviews without an ounce of critical analysis.

And really, what a stupid argument. Creighton fan essentially saying that they did not discontinue a series where they refused a home and home offer, and have not followed up with a reciprocal offer yet for any future dates. Hmmmmmmm.

In the end, Creighton's absence from WSU's schedule is a total non-factor. The game would have been fun for fans, sure, and it is too bad Creighton kept it from happening from that standpoint. But...as we stand today....WSU is looking at a 1 seed and Creighton is sniffing farts at the bottom of the polls, extolling the virtues of suburban horse to anyone who will listen. I will take our spot every time and frankly CU is a fleeting afterthought for WSU fans at this point.

Finally, a long term home and home with Creighton at this point carries risk for WSU's SOS. CU looks to be an RPI drag after McD/Gibbs/Wragge are gone. We already have one mediocre former-rival (Tulsa) on the slate every year; why add another?
