Maybe its blasphemous to say this but Jake Odum has not had a very good year, IMO. His shooting numbers are awful. I realize scoring isn't everything but his inability to make outside shots has to hurt the Sycamores.

The most dangerous players right now are Smith and Arop.

This game could be a 15 point ISU win, an 8 point Bradley win or anything in between and I wouldn't be surprised.

Odum was never a great outside shooter but he has been dealing with back and calf problems all year as well as having tendinitis in both knees. He just started practicing full time in the last couple weeks.

He still leads ISU in rebounds and assists. He has the best A/TO ratio of his career. About 2.5-1.

This evaluation of Odum sounds a lot like Toure Murry as he went through his career. Started out red hot, but as he got closer to the end of his career, he did not blossom into the POY candidate everyone once thought he would, but he continued to be an incredible rebounder and good passer. On the plus side, everyone thought his senior year would be WSU's year, and we were bounced from the NCAA in the first game (round 2). Toure has gone on to play in the NBA this year (at least a little), and the Shox came back stronger than ever after Toure's departure.

I hope we can get 9- 11,000 to Carver and lock in and get it done.

Has Bradley had 9000+ in at all this year?

No, highest attended game is Illinois St at 8403 and I'm sure that is some Illinois St fans there. They are averaging 6142 for the season and 6806 for Valley teams.

Nope its been brutal. Evansville was by far the worst attended conference game Sunday. It will be interesting if the winning continues if there is any uptick. I mentioned in the Wichita thread that its unlikely there will be an uptick in students for that game, because something like 70-80% of the student body is in the Greek system and that is chapter night.

we totally agree with this, Jake has not been nearly as good, Jake Odum as a redshirt freshman was WAY better than Jake Odum as a senior, now a lot of that has to do with injuries, sure, but a lot also has to do with the fact that opposing teams know how to guard and play against Jake. His drives to the basket and passes back out to an open shooter are long gone. He's not a good shooter at all, if you've seen him shoot a 3 it's dreadful. I cringe every time he takes that shot because it rarely goes in.

Most of us are looking forward to a new set of players coming in for ISU next year, fresh faces with maybe a new stye (up tempo) of offense? We'll see?

Both ISU and Bradley are bringing in JUCO point guards who are putting up gaudy numbers this year. Will be interesting to see both guys next year.

Sort of. Except Murry's senior year involved absolutely curb-stomping the Valley and earning a 5 seed in the NCAA tournament.

True but I dont know if he is gonna be starting PG or even play it for the Sycamores. Brenton Scott is the Redshirt Freshman so he has an advantage over the Juco transfer for PG. So he could be moved to the 2 spot but that depends on if we play K. Smith at the 2 or keep him at the 3.

under 12 TO, BU leads 13-8, ISU with 5 turnovers in 5 minutes, and settling for too many jump shots, ISU not attacking.

guess Dawon Cummings hurt his knee in practice and is playing sore, would not be good for ISU

Sycamores 0-6 from 3 point range, we have not been shooting well from 3 lately, 7-44 in our last 3 games

the ugliness of the Bradley-ISU game from Terre Haute has been magically transformed to Peoria for tonight's game as well.

Bradley by 2, 4 minutes, 1st half

Braves in foul trouble, 3 players with 2 fouls
