The ball is below the rim, the MSU player is behind the backboard trying to go through Tuttle who jumped straight up (if anything it's a foul on MSU for a push in the back), and...well...the ball is below the rim...and no shot was taken as the ball is being touched by the MSU players forearm. I've seen come amazing shots but a behind the backboard shot with a forearm would be a first.

If nothing else it should have been a foul on Tittie for body chucking Pickens. Not to mention the fact that in the picture Pickens is touching the ball, therefor it's not longer an in bounds pass and is a live ball, therefor it's a clear and obvious goaltending violation. Period.


That said, it doesn't matter. We played like feces and deserved to lose.

Sooo…no shot was attempted. The ball was below the rim when it was touched. Absolutely NOT a goal tend. If they would have awarded THAT a goal tend, it would have been an absolute gift and the incorrect call. I was rooting for the Bears in this one, but they were not the better team last night.

The rule says the defense may not touch the rim while the offense is attempting a shot. It was ruled a shot on the floor.

The fact that that picture is the most compelling evidence that Bears fans have, a picture showing absolutely no chance for a basket or shot in any imaginable fashion and hence no goaltending, speaks volumes about how desperately they want to validate themselves of being awarded a chance at beating UNI.

It's offical...maybe I'm slow on picking up on it.

To say Tuttle didn't 'mean' to grab on to the rim is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard.

Tuttle was infront of Pickens the entire play and Pickens tried to jump through Tuttle - thus the reason Seth ended up flailing like he did and falling like he did.

It was the correct call.

Step 1 - Ignore the Bradley teenager.

Step 2 - The right team won. Gulley's stage act was fine, but I did not care for his "look at me, look at what I got away with" show boating.

That call completely changed the game on terms of what Tuttle, and UNI could do.

You fired Barry for a guy that didn't get you into the tournament and then took the first train out of town and now you've got a guy that no experience and gets out coached on a regular basis.

I just caught the end of the game..they were reviewing a possible flagrant foul.

Why was the last play not reviewed? Sort of nutty it wasn't, wasn't it?

There was nothing to review.

1. It wasn't a shot, this there can't be goaltending.
2. An inbounds pass can't count as a basket. If the ball goes through the hoop it's the other teams ball OB at the previous spot.
