You may well be right about the future and implied low flying.

Next year will be pretty bright for the Shockers.

I agree. Next year will be great. I wasn't trying to pee on the parade. I just see so many fans of teams worry about SOS, what league they are going to join next, are they "respected" enough while they can just having a hell of a lot of fun and enjoying the ride.

It's been a FANTASTIC season to be a WSU fan! Regardless of the outcome in the NCAA tourney (where I will almost surely be disappointed), this has been one fun ride!!!

If Geno lands Cunningham he instantly gets a lot more slack from me. Cunningham is 80th per Rivals and 99th per ESPN, and I don't recall ever landing a top 100 player directly out of high school. The only other top 100 guy I remember going straight to the Valley is FVV. Unfortunately the 247 Crystal Ball guys are switching their predictions from Bradley to Indiana of late, but we'll see.

Sutherland is leading JUCO in assists, 2nd in steals, 20ppg, 81% from the line and 47% from the arc. If replacing Mr Selfish with this guy doesn't improve our team I give up.

I feel like/ very hopeful that X and Chin can land Cunningham.

With how accurate your predictions have been, Bradley probably just lost him.

I'll take our long odds over SIU's no odds.

Bringing a top 100 player to the Red White scrimmage was no small feat for a Valley coach. You can't win if you don't play, and even if you lose it's good publicity to have your name associated with top players and schools in recruitment.

I'm guessing it was the other way around. Funny how that works. VanVleet probably would've moved into the Top 50 recruits if he had decommitted from WSU, given the number of high-high-major offers he was receiving.

Stars and recruiting rankings are often tied to the interested schools as much as the individual's talent.

Bingo. This is the kind of thinking that needs to happen WAY more in the Valley.
