If you have a group and are looking for something different. I would really recommend Table on Cherokee. It is on Cherokee St. not terribly far from the AB Brewery and downtown. A fun communal atmosphere for your group and a real diverse menu. You will spend some $$$$ though.

I drink Pappy's on special occasions...at $120 per bottle specials occasions are few and far between.

Mrs. SHOXMVC and I drive in Thursday, have dinner at Mike Shannon's around 7ish. I invite you to stop by and buy us a drink. ;)

If you really want to annoy everyone around you in the Scotttrade Center, order the garlic fries. They are awesome but the are so strong, you can smell the garlic 20-30 seats away. I ordered them last year on Thursday night and actually had people changing sections.

They were all dressed in yellow, I guess I should assume that it was the maroon hoodie since the smell of the garlic couldn't be nearly as bad as what they were used to. :D

Two great places to eat in the hill area (south of 40) is Zia's and Charlie Gitto's.

Pappy's I suggest going Friday at 11 (right when they open) if your team isn't playing. Still a lot of people, but not as many as a workday. The ribs/pulled pork are to good to talk about, and the deep fried corn on da cob is pretty good also.

Cunetto's is my favorite on the hill. You really can't go wrong in that neighborhood though.
