Evansville will be a real test. Marty's motion offense is one of the best in the nation at minimizing what the Shox do on D. Balentine can shoot it and he will get open with UE's offensive schemes.

I think the game is going to come down to whether WSU's front court players can attack Mockiviscius and get him into foul trouble. Mock is prone to fouling big, strong, athletic post players. Using him as a second defender against Early is almost unfair. Early can pretty much do whatever he wants to do if he can get against Mock in space.

UE needs to prevent Early from penetrating past the first perimeter defender, or Mock will not get 25 minutes of game time. When UE has both Balentine and Mock on the floor against the Shox, they are a dangerous team.

Forget the records. UE is a dangerous game for the Shox in Evansville.

I was watching ESPN prior the the UE game where they were discussing WSU's remaining conference games. I thought it was bizzare that they had Bradley as WSU's toughest remaining game, with only a 93% chance of victory. I figured they would have ranked at UE or vs. MSU as more difficult.

UE chances were just about the same as Bradley. MSU game is the hardest, but it is at home so it gets knocked down.

You know, I don't think we're giving Wichita enough credit for a very important media-related tangent: they've marginalized Syracuse's undefeated record quite a bit. Everyone's much more interested in this undefeated team than that one. That's hard to do.

No one realistically thinks Syracuse has a shot at going undefeated, really. If they win @Duke, I think the media coverage might turn in their direction dramatically. WSU has the better shot of going into the tournament undefeated ... But Syracuse has the better shot at winning the tournament once there for most. They'll get the Hoosiers hype nonstop at that point.
