Before the refs threw up the first ball to start the season, my prediction was 29-2 at this point in the season. I also predicted 31-3 entering the NCAA's, which means I predicted the Shox would not win in St. Louis.
To go 31 games in a row without having a bad night when your opponent is on fire can never be expected. Except for 1 WSU fan on ShockerNet, no one was expecting the Shox to make the F4 last year.
Even though there's only one player (Carter) who wasn't with WSU during the F4 run, I'm not predicting another run that far. A CU poster recently came here and opined that WSU needed to get at least to E8 to be considered relevant. I don't agree. A F4 followed by 31-0 = relevance. Every team that's undefeated into February for the next decade or so is going to be compared to this year's WSU team.
