I think when some people look at Lemon as a player they see his eye popping athletic ability and that beautiful high arcing jumper and are blinded by that. The casual fan is fooled. The hard core/knowledgeable fans are not.

So he's another DJ Ballentine just with slightly less impressive stats and a marginally better record. Sign me up!

Balentine runs off screens like crazy. He works hard to get his shots. Lemon bull rushes the paint.

I think Lemon is a selfish player while DJ is simply a victim of his system, but both players are overrated IMO. Good ball players, no mistaking that, but one of them tries to do too much and the other is asked to do too much and their programs records and lack of recent success show it. The difference between the two is that I'd welcome having DJ in purple and gold assuming he wouldn't be playing the same ridiculous role of "The Lone Shooter".

I agree. I think Balentine could become a very good all-around player in a different system. I think he'd be very good under Marshall if he was willing to play the physical style he demands.

Under Evansville I expect Balentine to be just another Simmons-system player. Great while shooting off screens but otherwise stagnating in overall development.
