Arch Madness video

Postby ValleyFAN » March 9th, 2014, 9:30 pm

Who else was in St Louis and saw the video the league put together that played between games on Saturday and then again today before the championship? The first part of it was pretty freaking awesome....focused on the history of the league, great players.....and then all of a sudden it turned into a Wichita State highlight film complete with video highlights and Gregg Marshall speeches. I know the Shox fans sure seemed to enjoy it. I mean, I know the Shox are rolling and all, but it as a fan of another Valley school it made us feel pretty darn insignificant in a video which appeared to initially highlight ALL league schools. Then we have to watch a video that seemed like it would play at a Shox home game? Come on.

Thoughts? Any other Valley fans think it was a little much? And like I said, the first part of the video was phenomenal, especially when it showed Hawkins, McDaniel, Bird, etc.

They played 3 videos before each game

1. Mvc video

2 and 3 were videos from each team.

I know that. But the last half of the MVC video was nothing but shockers. I'm not talking about the Shocker intro video before the lineups. Im talking about the lengthy video the league showed before the semi final/finals game.

It wasn't all Shockers, it was all NCAA tournament/Final Four Shockers. They showed Bradley, UNI, and SIU's Sweet 16 and then they showed Wichita State's Sweet 16, Elite Eight, and Final Four. Sorry the league hasn't done anything else in the last 4 years to show highlights of.

I said that the last HALF was shockers. Of course it wasnt all shockers, but the last part was a bit much for us non-shockers to stomach.

I'm not sure the season we've gone 18-0 with a ridiculous average margin of victory is the time to be asking for more video time for other schools.

This season has been all WSU, like it or not. This has probably been the most dominant season in Valley history. Even the Bird-led Sycamores don't stack up in-conference ... average margin of victory of 12, three wins of less than five points. WSU has an average margin of victory of 15.8 with only one game decided by less than five.

Let's think this through a little bit. Why do you think the last half might be Shockers? You said yourself that the entire video wasn't all about the Shockers. Bradley, UNI, and SIU were all in the video.
