It would help is people did some research.

WSU, for the most part, dominated Jarnell Stokes and Jeronne Maymon of Tennessee when WSU played them earlier this year. This is evident by their +5 rebounding.

Later in the year. Stokes and Maymon absolutely put a BEATING on UK's big men grabbing 20 offensive rebounds against UK and their so called "big and physical" line-up.

I think people forget that Julius Randle is only 6-9 and that Chadrack Lufile is 6-9 and 266 pounds of solid muscle. He can more than hold his own. Cauley-Stein is soft, pure and simple.

The UK big men that concerns me most is Dakari Johnson - as crazy as that sounds. He has a good habit of just wallering in the paint and, being the 7 footer that he is, just having offensive rebounds fall into his lap because he is so damn massive.

So people can say WSU will have trouble with big, physical teams but I think people understimate just how damn physical a Valley painted area can be. There are some big dudes in this league and WSU took their best shot every game. They may not be as skilled as Randle, but physically UK will not show anything that any other team hasn't already this year.

I think WSU can out-bench almost anyone on the path. I was thinking about depth of 3 point shooting.
Baker, VanVleet, Early, Cotton can hit three's and it seems I remember Wiggins and Green capable. That's fairly deep isn't it. I think the Shockers have the depth covered with the big guys too.

I am definitely ready to sit back and watch.

If they lose to Kentucky/Kansas St in the 2nd round, I think that would be valid.

So, anyone that lost to Kentucky or KState can't be a Top 10 team? This kind of logic will leave us with a very, very empty Top 10.

If we based a team's worth on 1 game result, the league should have just mailed the trophy to Wichita in the first week of January.

Apparently about 10 of their opponents did.

Go continue to live your petty life cheering on a school that can't even afford to pay a market price for the second best coach in the Missouri Valley.

Mediocrity will be in Terre Haute until you guys sack up and actually up your money.

Heh, heh! Your jealousy is oozing everywhere.

Despite all the talent that Kentucky undoubtedly has, they make so many mistakes as a result of their youth that Wichita should be able to weather the storm. But hey it's March and crazy things happen. As long as the Shox keep doing what they've done all year I think they will be fine but the scariest part of the equation is that this is less about can Wichita State handle Kentucky and more about which Kentucky will show up? There are a lot of unknowns about UK at any given time but we know wht kind of game to expect from the Shox. That uncertainty is a bit unnerving regardless of your allegiance.

I took some heat here a few weeks ago when I stated WSU will have the toughest road, just a gut feeling, as you are talking about the matchup with UK don't be assuming I think last time I checked you both have to win a game before you play, not just Kentucky, if and when you play Kentucky I give the advantage in guard play heavily to WSU I would put Baker and V.V. against anybody in the tourney, the only way UK wins if they dominate the low post and in the paint, if it happens it will be a fun game to watch. Good Luck WSU

I really don't think WSU will have to play Kentucky. Playing K State could be harder too.
