WSU by 13 is the early line?

I didn't thinkit would be that high. I wouldn't touch it at that number. I said in an earlier post that I'd take 9.5 - and I'd still take that number.

I don't claim to be able to predict the final score that close. 9.5 seems like an acceptable risk. 13 doesn't.

My prediction on Shocker Net was:

WSU - 74
UE - 59

With the rebounding difference I expect, I think WSU wins the track meet after UE misses and gets some transition points. I also expect WSU to get at least 10 points on put backs after WSU misses. Other than the rebounding difference, I'd never predict WSU to go over 70 against UE's tempo, style, and D.

I do not think it is being televised or streamed.

I believe paying for ShockerVision is the only way to see it

Shockervision is televising for a fee. The minimum is $12.95/month. Try channelsurfing as they usually bring a number of Valley games at no charge. There are others as previously mentioned.

vegasinsider.com has posted one early line of WSU -13 that I previously posted. By tomorrow all their betting line sites will be posted.

Since the game is only being shown on Shockervision and is not part of the MVC package, KS22 or nationally - only way it will show up on the web site is if it is being pirated.

WSU has won something like 32 straight regular season home games. They haven't lost to a Valley team at home since Jan 9, 2009.

WSU hasn't lost to Evansville at home since prior to the 01-02 season. I couldn't find records that go back further than that and I didn't feel the need to search anymore.

This is WSU's most talented team outside the Valley Championship season, and it's the deepest team in at least 25 years. At least 25 years. Those aren't debatable. What is debatable is if Evansville is improved from last year. They may be, they may not be. All I am saying is that the quality of play that WSU has shown it can put on the court is good enough to beat Evansville playing at any level except near record shooting.

If WSU reaches a new low, which is certainly possible, then they can, and probably will, be beat tomorrow. I think we all agree it is unlikely but they are still kids and they are still going to play the game. WSU needs to get better, much better if they are going to reach their goals. I've had a lot of questions if they have what it takes to get there....and I still do.

And for the record, while I believe that talent, depth, experience and coaching puts them in a position to be the team most likely to win the MVC, I don't yet see the intangibles that I believe a team must have to reach that goal. Maybe I am wrong, or maybe they will find those along the way. Bottom line though, while I think they SHOULD win the league, as of today, I don't think they will win the league.

So feel free to not quote me with the "Crown em" comment going forward.
