Does Mueller change his pre-season vote to Indiana State?

I've been trying to convince some Shox fans that there's a problem in the front court this year, so when that bit us, maybe those posters wouldn't be so severely shocked. The front court situation actually looks worse than I thought it was.

A couple Shox also appear to want to hunt their own shot rather than try to work the ball to a front court player. Maybe that's a trust issue, or maybe it's that the perimeter players know they are more likely to score by playing suburban horse than by pounding the ball inside.

I was cautiously optimistic with the inside presence. I wanted to see them against the Valley where it isn't as long or athletic as teams we have been playing. This is still a good team, but no back to the basket scorers is concerning.

Shocker are not playing well. A lack of chemistry, mojo, identity?

Go Shocks!

Wichita is really going to struggle against Tuttle and the Lithuanian.

The Redbirds remind me of Jackson Browne's The Pretender.

Are we calling for the UNI and UE sweep already?

Getting out-rebounded by Drake by 9 is absolutely ridiculous.

WSU just isn't good enough to handle multiple starters being down at one time. FVV's been in a funk for a while now, and with Carter joining him, we don't have the bench players to make up for it. Any time we have two starters playing poorly at the same time (or one playing poorly and one in foul trouble early) we're in danger of an upset. It's too easy to over commit against Baker when multiple starters are playing poorly.

Shox have no inside presence on either end - AGAINST DRAKE!

Who are the WSU fans that see Carter at 6'7" as the tallest player in the starting lineup and thinks we're not going to have trouble establishing an inside presence on either side against a 7' player?

That was the worry before the season, it's been stated over and over again. We don't have the height and Carter isn't a physical player like Hall to make up for it. We'll struggle against tall players whenever we encounter them. If FVV was playing better, it wouldn't be as much of an issue ... but he's not and it is.

Congrats to the Shockers on a hard fought game. The young Bulldogs won the rebounding war. Jacob Envold really looked good. Needed a few threes to fall. Fun game to watch.

Drake played really hard for coach giac, looked like a fun atmosphere.

Um, no. Just an observation.

You can calm down now.
