DU's seniors provided absolutely nothing today....the 5 seniors combined for 13 points in 113 combined minutes. The freshmen had 25 points in 72 minutes.

I know it sucks now, but isn't this kind of a good thing? At least, for the long term viability of the program?

Absolutely. It's nice to see that, even against a great defensive team like UNI, the freshmen can be productive. Unfortunately, the upperclassmen have done pretty much nothing all year.

UNI D has allowed only 79 pts in the past 2 games, 189 pts through the first 4 conference games (47.5/gm) and if you take away the 3 OT games, only 1 team has gotten to 60+ on UNI this year (South Dakota St). The Ben Jacobson D is back ladies and gentlemen.

The past two games were against the #260 and #289 best offensive teams, per Kenpom. With #327 up next, that will continue to look good. But Drake and SIU are a bizarre pair of opponents to be beating your chest over.

UNI D has allowed only 79 pts in the past 2 games, 189 pts through the first 4 conference games (47.5/gm) and if you take away the 3 OT games, only 1 team has gotten to 60+ on UNI this year (South Dakota St). The Ben Jacobson D is back ladies and gentlemen.

Not necessarily beating my chest, but given last years failure by trying to make a duck into an eagle, it's good to see Jake acknowledge his mistake and go back to the "defense-first" mentality. It's the reason UNI was able to build its reputation and have consistent success over the past 10-15 years.

If the students come through, it should be a sellout. They take up one entire end zone. The other upper level end zone is GA, so you can't see how many of those tickets are available, but from scanning the website, it looks like there are maybe 200 seats left, mostly uppers that are on the same side as the TV cameras. It will look good if the students do their part. We usually get a good walk up crowd for big games to fill the rest.

I hope you guys don't think "Fear" is representative of all Indiana State fans. We're just grateful we've started winning after our horrid start to the season.

Like I mentioned earlier, the team took a while to get used to not playing with Jake Odum, but now they're doing much better and we still hope to avoid the Thursday play in games.
