In terms of what they have done so far it's MSU, CU and then WSU.

Whatever makes you sleep at night vc. UNI has no post, less post depth and trouble scoring and is off to an 0-2 start.

You were the guy that said no way WSU would finish ahead of UNI for 4 years last year, correct?

I would not be surprised at all to see ISU red in the 4th spot. I like their size and talent and they may be the kind of team that nobody wants to play late. Drake should be that kind of team, but their inconsistency does not bode well for a strong finish.

I do not know what you are talking about. I never said any such thing.

UNI has proven they can beat almost anybody if they play well, and they can lose to anyone if they dont. To say that creighton and msu have shown great separation from UNI is ridiculous at this point. What have you seen from those two that makes you think they have separated themselves from UNI? I'd argue that Creighton doesn't have a single quality win, and MSU's best win is the UNI win.

I've seen them win 2 games where UNI has won none. That's 100% separation in my book. Sure the games could have gone either way, but they didn't. When you can't score, or at least have tremendous difficulty scoring, your margin for error shrinks. This is a team with a talented and deep group of guards and almost no post game. Their superior defense will keep them in games AS LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO BUY IN. At some point, if there isn't more success, the likelihood of them relaxing a bit on d increases. Then it's Thursday night.

I have always pegged UNI around 4-5 and I still think that's the most likely spot. But if you've watched the teams, there is nothing to make you think UNI is much more than a .500 team in this league. Any wins against CU, MSU and even WSU would have to be considered surprises.

Again what have you seen from those two teams that leads you to believe they are much better than UNI, other than an extremely small sampling of MVC games?

As I said before, UNI has already proven that they can beat some decent teams (IA St, Indiana, TCU, New Mexico)--I'd stack those wins up against every other MVC shool's non-conf wins. But they have also proven that they can lose to some bad teams (Milw, SIU, Iowa).

MSU has the win at UNI, but I'm not sure Creighton has even beaten a good team this year.

UNI has proven that they are inconsistent and that was formulated in your own post valleychamp. Inconsistency usually translates to a middle of the pack finish.

The truth is a loss is a loss. The Panthers have lost one at home and now one to a likely play-in team. They were both close, but unless you're keeping track of moral victories, they mean diddily squat.

Fact is UNI has already lost a home game and followed that up with a loss to SIU without Teague. This start has helped separate them from the other 3.

Regardless we will have a better picture or it all by next Sunday as CU plays MSU this week and WSU and MSU on Sunday.

Maybe.

I'd say that IlSU is on the same plane as SIU though, and perhaps even better with Teague out. Creighton did beat IlSU, at IlSU, by double digits while UNI lost to SIU.

I don't DJA. I think ISUR has a ton more upside than SIU, this year. That's with Teague...without him, it shouldn't be a fair fight.

I'd LOVE to switch places, schedule wise with CU. Drake is going to beat someone they shouldn't....ISUR is a tough out.

Yeah, I worded that poorly. I meant to say that IlSU is AT LEAST on the same plane as SIU.
