Oh yes, he should aspire to play more like DJ played tonight, right? (2/12 FG)
Getting REALLY old reading so many Aces fans bash Simmons this year. Is it because he's the coaches son? Gotta imagine it is.
He was on the MVC All-Freshman team last year, and is still scoring 9ish points a game as the 4th or 5th option on the team. Not to mention he's shooting 51% from the field, 43% from 3, and a team best 87% from the line.
I know that's not all super impressive, but he's a solid role player. Bashing him with the obvious ulterior motives many have is more than stupid, it's petty and childish.

What is going on?
Drake coach not the best talent evaluator? Muller can't coach his way out of a paper bag?
Swept by the Trees. Ouch.

UNI is what on Saturday?
Panthers play the Bears on Sunday, on ESPNU

No - DJ was terrible last night too. I just can't believe that Blake played 35 minutes and only took 2 shots & had 1 rebound. How does that happen? You have to really "work" to put up those numbers (I do think he has been playing well thus far this year).
I also don't understand Jaylon Brown's playing time, he had 10 points in the first half, playing well & didn't get in the game in the second until about the 10 minute mark & played only a couple of minutes. (I can't find the exact minutes as none of the box scores have the first half stats listed correctly).
This is a continuing theme with Marty. Play well in the first half (if you aren't a starter) and sit the second.

I just keep thinking how good WSU would be if we had gotten Mock.
Only player in the league I'm truly jealous not to have at WSU.
