Two consecutive games, two second-half concussions issued to the opposition's best inside players, both late in the season, both against teams they have to play again... I guess that's one way to gain an advantage in the race for third place.

Did you find either incident to be malicious?

It should have been review in Normal last Saturday It look on the espn3 feed to be intentional. He even spoke proudly of it after the game. But if winning is that important ....

A Redbird player was also heard celebrating knocking Baker to the ground after giving him a shoulder to the face.

I have no idea about the concussions, just giving a little background.

I assume you just forgot to put a little sarcastic face because you can't be serious. Reggie fell, with his back to Mock. Did you not see the replay? He wasn't even looking down when he fell. And he fell because Mock had fallen and tripped Reggie while he was backing Mock down. Not one person on your own board found it to be a dirty play, so like I said, maybe you just forgot the sarcastic face.

Or, it could have been that he set a screen that freed Knight for a 3 that closed the gap, if even for a moment. Players get excited over stuff like that. The refs reviewed it and found it to be a legal screen.

Providing "background" about a situation that was reviewed and found to be legal, and a situation with a completely different player in a different situation doesn't work. It makes appears you're trying to say that it's dirty ball when one was reviewed to be legal and the other didn't even warrant a review.

None of the 3 plays in questions were found to be illegal; excessive or malicious.

As a WSU fan, I'd most like to avoid Illinois State in the semis of the MVC tourney. They have a lot of talent.

We haven't played Indy State yet so it's hard to say. At the beginning of the season I made a comment that, on paper, UNI and Ill State had the rosters to beat us. I still think that. Ill State was a little banged up the last time we met so I expect a tougher game in Normal. Our best 2 bigs, Carter and Morris, are both banged up right now. If either of these guys go down we've got problems.

After Illinois State knocked Loyola's Christian Thomas out of the game with a concussion last week, they did it again to Evansville's Mockevicius in their last game.

This post is just plain asinine.

Neither event was intentional or malicious. I was at the Evansville game and saw the event develop right in front of me. The contact was not started by our player but by Mock as has been identified here. Mock started going down first and took our player down with him and on top of him.

So Reggie can drag his foot across the face and the use the side of his head to regain an uprightstance. yeah it is all legit, no blood no foul
