So...I'm home with a 2 year old that can't go more than 5 minutes without throwing up all weekend, plus a migraine of my own yesterday and suddenly dip$&*t is worried about me?

Care to comment on how much trash I talked before the game? I don't know that I did any.

As for the game...

I don't know that there's much to say. UNI didn't play terribly. WSU made a couple runs and UNI didn't have enough answers. UNI won by 16 in Cedar Falls and WSU by 14 in Wichita. I'd say the two teams are pretty even and the home crowd really pushed each team over the edge. Seems like a good problem for the MVC to have with UNI/WSU this year.

I thought the turning point was when UNI was up 20-16 and a 3 rimmed out. WSU then went on run to end the first half including about a 35 ft 3 at the shot clock buzzer and a fade away 3 from Van Vleet in back to back possessions that turned a 4 point game into a 10 point game in about 30 seconds right before half. Both possessions had good defense, WSU just made the shots. Not much else UNI could have done there. Those two shots really turned the game, IMO.

I think UNI benefited a lot in the first meeting that WSU missed tons of wide open shots. If we're just gonna say that WSU won convincingly Saturday because shots rimmed out for UNI and WSU hit 30-foot shots all day, then I'm gonna stick to my reasons for the loss in Cedar Falls. Tuttle obviously played the game of his life in that one too.

I remember uniftw taking an unprovoked shot at WSU for the Showtime deal earlier this month so excuse me for asking for his commentary about this one. Let's not act like UNI fans don't bring up stuff from the past or aren't perfect angels either. Valleychamp likes to hit up 2livewu on a weekly basis. How come nobody whines about that?

I think we could probably count on our hands the number of times that has been used since the initial discussion. Wufan is the only one who explicitly used "dirty" but there were plenty of people who jumped on that wagon and used it to bring up the flopping and cheating narrative, even after Wufan quickly retracted and amended his meaning. To be fair, I don't believe that many of them were Shocker fans but I just wanted to make it clear that this isn't a "Let's pile on Wufan, again".

It's not very different from when WSU fans defend Baker from ISUr fans who call him a flopper. No one is going to let anyone believe their guy does anything beneath the rules of the game to earn his "star" status...especially when it's pretty clear that he doesn't or it's so minor that it's negligible

I think we will see the respect both of these programs have achieved when the rankings come out today. Sounds like most of the voters who have released their polls haven't dropped UNI much (if at all), and some obviously opportunity for WSU to make some gains with other teams losing.

Probably because most of us are adults and not middle school girls. Who cares? People can be assholes. Doesn't mean that a person should be an asshole in return, but if they are, so be it. That's their decision and it carries consequences. Let them live with it.
