They lost last year to Nevada at home to end the season. So their home winning streak is 7.

My reading comprehension says that he prefaced that with REGULAR season.

The Nevada game was in the NIT. The post mentions "regular season home games". Just clarifying.

You're right. I simply overlooked that. My bad

Last time I checked, the past has nothing to do with this year and these two teams. Besides, it is just a prediction. If we went based on them, the Patriots would have won 3 more Super Bowls

The past I was talking about was this year. Those past games show that WSU is ahead of MSU in almost every category. But yeah, it means nothing. Why do we even keep score? It's just a reflection of the past.

This is why we play the games, folks! MSU is going to run into a little more defense than what they have seen so far this year in conference. I watched their game with UNI and they were darn lucky to win that game.

WSU is just so deep this year, and the bench has been outscoring the starters, that we tend to wear down other teams in the last quarter of the game. We also have pretty balanced scoring. The Shox will be ready for this one.

I expect MSU to lose this game, but it's not a must win for the Bears so I'm ok with that. If we steal one though that could set things up VERY nicely having beat the 3 best teams on the road to start conference play (Well maybe UNI is worse than that now).

Only reason Shox lose this game would be due to their achilles heel(s). They are one of the pros of the prairies. I look forward to a smart view of the Marhall whine-face.

This is the first in a series of (probably) 3 games this year and WSU will:

There is no way MSU beats WSU in Wichita right now. I'm not downgrading MSU. I watched the CU game and MSU is good. WSU's specialty this year is running teams into the ground and MSU's depth is likely to leave some tongues hanging out in the last 5 minutes of the first half and last 10 minutes of the game. WSU is still running fresh or rested bodies on the court at those times.

I believe Weems is the best player in the Valley this year. I suspect he's going to get Ellis and Blair guarding him. Weems can make difficult, guarded shots. He's going to need to do that.

WSU matches up with MSU better than most teams in the Valley. MSU doesn't have any mismatches against WSU's starters or second unit. The WSU height advantage at the guard positions could cause MSU fits.

By the end of the season, when WSU plays MSU in SpringPatch on MSU's Sr. Night, MSU's team will be worn down. It's brutal to try to get through a league schedule with 7 players. Almost impossible.

Then there's St. Louis where a worn down MSU team will try to get through 2 games in 2 days to get to WSU in the chamionship game. Good luck.

This is the start of a WSU sweep of MSU this year. 3-0 if MSU can survive long enough in St. Louis to meet the Shox.

I think this game is going to be an old fashioned barn burner going right down to the end.
I think the end will be decided with who has the strength and confidence to finish.
I will have my TV tuned into ESPNU and popcorn in hand.

My Prediction - Weems misses a 3 to tie at the buzzer and the shox win!!!!! (76-73)
3 point favorite seems about right to me.
