What is POY.Is it the best individual player,or a player
who is the best overall.VanVleet,Beane,Ballentine,Mock
are all good in there own ways.I dont think Baker should
be in the mix,Vleet is WAY more valuable than Baker.Ballentine is all
time Aces leading scorerand and 3 time conference leading scorer.
Love to see an ace get it,but i believe tha winner will be Van Vleet.

Mockevicius should win this award this year. He has dominated all year long and leads the nation rebounding. His % of double-doubles in amazing.

This is the rare case where the MVP and POY would be the same person. There is no doubt in my mind it should be FVV. Not only is he the most valuable to his team, but he has also had the best season this year.

FVV is the most valuable to his team. We saw what happened to Wichita when he wasn't in the lineup this year. They quickly become an average team.

Mock was the Most Outstanding Player (which I've seen used before) this year, leading the country in rebounding and taking over games. He's probably had the best statistical season of anyone in the Valley.

Since the award is named "player of the year", you have to ask yourself are you voting for most valuable, or most outstanding?


Either way, I don't see how the MVC's golden boy doesn't get the nod. It's often why MVP's are given to the best player on the best team in the conference, even when there's someone who might be more deserving.
