2016 NCAA outdoor track meet

The MVC had 11 men qualify for the NCAA outdoor meet to be held at Oregon in 2 weeks, pretty good weekend for the men, the meet starts June 8th

The meet starts tomorrow out in Eugene, Oregon. The men compete on Wednesday and Friday.

1st event of the day is over for the MVC men, in the men's hammer throw our 3 MVC athletes were 15th (Baker - UNI) 18th (Sauer - SIU) and 20th (Arneson - WSU)

more track and field starts at 6:30pm on ESPNU, then ESPN2 at 7:30, there are also dedicated event feeds on ESPN3 for those interested in field events like pole vault and shot put and javelin

on the track tonight, Indiana State's David Timlin barely misses the 1500 final, getting 9th in the fast heat (3:41.35), setting a new Sycamore 1500 school record. He needed a 3:41.22 to make the final

in the 110 hurdles, Sycamore Adarius Washington made the final Friday, getting 2nd in his heat in 13.64

in the men's 100, Brandon Carnes (UNI) placed 18th (10.40) in the semi finals, earning 2nd team all american honors, he didn't advance to the finals.

in the men's Shot Put, SIU senior Josh Freeman placed 6th, earning 1st team all american honors!

In the men's 10,000 Drake's Reed Fischer was 17th, earning 2nd team all american honors, Ryan Rutherford of Illinois State was 22nd, earning honorable mention all american

and finally in the men's javelin, Damien Odle from Wichita State was 9th getting 2nd team all american honors!
