Not many teams out there more athletic than Louisville but the Shox didn't really look overmatched as much as they just were a little intimidated.
Not very impressed with Willis. You can see the potential but he really has taken/missed a lot of shots. Reaves looks good for a Frosh but not what I was expecting hearing the Shox faithful on this site.
Shockers and Panthers seem to be way ahead of everyone else right now.
WSU never quite found their composure, and indeed too many of them did play like they were intimidated. Have to realize regarding Reaves, this was his first exposure playing against top level D1 basketball players. Certainly Willis, Shamet and Smith also haven't ever played a team of Louisville's caliber. Those guys and several others without that excuse just weren't ready to face the number 1 defense in the nation. But each of those 4 guys are very good and will continue to get better. If this was the first time I'd seen them play I wouldn't have been very impressed. Nevertheless, they competed and never caved. When you see these guys come MVC play I think it will become clear that they are seriously good.
