The more basketball I watch, the more I notice the difference in the way games are called between the veteran crews last night and some of the conference games. People like to complain about Pollard and Higgins but I thought they did a really nice job. You had Evansville players trying to draw charges all night and the refs rarely bit. They let the players play.

:+1: I'll never understand the people that complain about the Pollards and Janssens and Kissingers of the world when we've started seeing trash like James Durham, Jeff Malham, Ed Crenshaw and Roland Simmons on a regular basis

:+1: nice to see them not falling for the flops against Milik and Fayne, that’s usually what kills us every game is one of them getting in foul trouble early due to the other team flopping on drives.

Kelly Self was pathetic as usual. He is in way over his head.

Valpo finished the job today and that's not something I've been able to say very often this year. The team I saw today can beat anybody provided they shoot a bit better from outside but this level of performance from Valpo has been rare this year. I'm excited for tomorrow!

Whoa. Might want to slow down a bit, Valpo looked much better in this game than they have most of the year, but being honest about it Ind St played a big part in that. The fact that ISU was so aggressive on defense on the perimeter really played into Valpo’s hands. Yes, if Valpo learns to shoot, then they’ll be a tough out. Without Fazekas and his 43% shooting I don’t see that happening. For the season they’re at 32% from 3 counting his stats.

I fully expect Loyola to take the lack of 3 point shooting into consideration and be much less aggressive on the perimeter. Porter Moser > Greg Lansing.
